Sydney Curtin is a passionate advocate for adoption, approached with care, courage, respect, and love. Sydney is an adoptee and a first mother, which means she has lived both sides of a story most people only hear from one direction. She knows what it feels like to grow up wondering, and she knows what it feels like to place a child in someone else’s arms and trust they will be loved. That dual experience is why her message carries a depth most advocates cannot offer, she is not speaking about adoption from theory, she has lived every side of it. Her mission now is simple: no one should walk into adoption facing the silence, confusion, and grief she once faced alone. That firsthand experience is why she understands what it feels like to walk into adoption without the right preparation, and why she is committed to sparing others from the silence, confusion, and grief she once faced. Alongside her advocacy work, Sydney stays busy building. She is the founder and CEO of an AI driven mobile application built for the public education system, and she hosts The Common Ground Podcast with her business partner John. She spends most of her time traveling across the world visiting different stages as a keynote speaker and consultant, bringing the same conviction to stages and strategy sessions alike. Of all of it, though, her favorite role is simply being a mom. It is the role that taught her time, not money, is the most precious asset there is. Money can always be remade. This time with her children cannot.
